Jack Nicholson: Why did you want me to do this interview?

 

January Jones: Because after you called me to say that you appreciated my work in the first season of Mad Men, you said that I shouldn’t do too many interviews because the show is going to get bigger. So I thought it was ironic that you agreed to do this one.

 

Nicholson: You said on the phone that you wanted me to do it because you thought I would be curious about the same thing as the average person—and that I wouldn’t ask you who you were dating.

 

Jones: Yeah.

 

Nicholson: But that’s what people want to know.


Jones: I guess.

 

Nicholson: So is your name January because you were born then?

 

Jones: It’s a coincidence. It’s from a book called Once is Not Enough by Jacqueline Susann. Bad book.

Daiki Suzuki's last collection for Woolrich Woolen Mills is here. As always, great sense of detail work and all production takes place in the USA. The Upland shirt is s a true classic from the WWM collection. Slim fitted, made in a heavy chambray cotton and features a button down collar, chest pocket with flap and hunting seam detailing on shoulder. Rounded hem and placket detailing.

Micheline Pitt and photographer Rick Miller did a great job with this pin-up style superhero shoot. We are so used to seeing the typical shoots that get so boring. This is exciting and totally has a vintage edge! Too bad there aren't that many pictures on the web for this. The one above I don't even think is apart of the set since it appears more grainy. We are looking forward to seeing more.

Here's some bizarre footage that is going extremely viral of what seems to be a dead alien. The camera man who seems to be Russian or Serbian pans the camera over the lifeless skinny wet body. I guess the alien is hanging out in the snow from an apparent UFO crash.

 

Is it a hoax? Is it real? If so, this kid is awfully brave to get so close to Kermit from Mars. Who knows how many diseases that thing has?

Damn, remember the days when you had to video tape your favorite shows? Sometimes you wouldn't set up the timer correctly and completely missed the show. How about having to fast forward past all the commericals holding the stupid button? The worst was when you didn't have enough tape left...and you would have to record over something you weren't ready just yet to get rid of. As much as we miss the past, we can admit how much it sucked. LOL

Black Cat Superstition Origin: Egypt


The worst phase for the black cats came after Egyptian dominance.

  • This could be probably due the later rulers that shunned everything that was Egyptian. As breaking the cultural shield is the first route to setting up a new dominance, later empires might have tried to break the belief system and thus induce new hatred which later, through generations, transformed into superstitions.
  • The origins of this old superstition can be traced back to ancient Egypt, where the Goddess Bast was represented as a black cat. People began to fear black cats because they associated them with the Goddess getting angry with them and causing problems.

Depending on the place one stays, there are various superstitions pertaining to the cats. While in USA or several European countries, a black cat crossing your path is considered unlucky, in places such as Britain and Japan, it is considered lucky.
