Words Affect Water

Posted | Views: 1,440
“Every thought we think, every feeling we have, every word we speak goes out into the atmosphere to either heal or harm. Let us be healers. Let us be harmless”
Words
“Kind words are like honey— they cheer you up and make you feel strong (Proverbs 16:24,
Words have the power to make or break us. A few simple sentences can cheer a person up, or tear them down. Research done by Dr. Masaru Emoto shows that positive words feed the soul, negative ones harm the soul, and the absence of words slowly destroys the soul. He also gives us proof that our thoughts, intentions, and words affect the physical world (Positivity, 1). Question on this?! Keep an open mind and be receptive to this new discovery because what you learn may change how you live your life.
Dr. Masaru Emoto, a researcher and alternative healer, says, “HADO creates words. Words are the vibrations of nature. Therefore, beautiful words create beautiful nature. Ugly words create ugly nature. This is the root of the universe.”
What Is Hado?
HADO (pronounced “HA-DOE”) is an expression meaning “wave and “move.” It is the smallest unit of energy, and the basic of energy for human consciousness.
The idea is simple, yet extraordinary: water is a direct reflection of us. Many people say Emoto has introduced a life changing, yet natural, idea that water is an exact reflection of human words and thoughts. Skeptics say his teachings are pseudo-science and should not be considered scientifically valid because they lack intellectual rigorousness. However, only you can be the judge of that. Chose to continue, and decide for yourself.
What Are His Teachings?
Dr. Emoto’s most popular work was featured in the shocking movie, “What the Bleep Do We Know?” He thinks human consciousness can directly affect physical reality. His books, seminars, and discussions are the best way to get more detail on the subject, but my overview will suffice for now.
In 1999, Emoto published his most famous work called ‘Messages from Water’. This book has sold several million copies all over the planet. His book explains in great detail about his research on what we say, feel, and listen to effects water. In his research of how the power of positivity transforms our physical reality, he uses water as an example. He does this because humans are made up of largely water, 60-75 percent depending on whom you ask. Water has a direct effect on us.
Rice Experiment
Dr. Emoto says, “If you have a peaceful mind and peaceful thoughts, water becomes more peaceful.” He demonstrates to power of human words and thought in an unusual way. He does a rice experiment. In this experiment, he has three jars slightly filled with rice, and then adds enough water to slightly cover the rice. To the first beaker, he says “Thank you” in Japanese, to the second beaker, he says, “You’re an idiot.” (In Japanese also). He says nothing to the third, completely ignoring it. He does this routine once a day for a month. After this time period, he checks his findings.
After a month, the rice in the first beaker who was thanked, smelled pleasantly and fermented, turning a lovely pinkish, tannish color and giving off a strong pleasant aroma. The rice who was insulted turned completely black. The rice that was ignored began to rot. To watch a video of this experiment go to YouTube and search “Dr. Emoto Rice Experiment.”
Dr. Emoto thinks this experiment teaches an important lesson concerning children. We should love them; get to know them, and converse with them daily! Ignoring your child can do worlds or harm and cause irreparable damage. Giving your child positive feedback and encouragement nourishes their soul and makes them feel good inside. The power of positivity will absolutely astound you! It’s crazy that after a month the thank you jar is still pleasant, not black, and moldy like one would expect.

Food Affects Mood

How, When, and Where Food is Eaten Affects Your Body
How, when, and where food is eaten directly affects the body’s digestion ability. Europeans are well known for taking long, luxurious lunch breaks, during which they drink large quantities of wine, consume high-fat foods, and talk with friends. In the U.S., everything is much more rushed. Multitasking, like eating while talking on the phone, is very common. Quickly, we grab a muffin while running out the door, then eat as we drive. The whole time we are rushing to arrive on time. Studies are now showing that this is a bad habit to have (Illiades, 1). Studies show that Europeans don’t gain weight or have health problems because of their food habits (Illiades, 1). This surprises most people because most Europeans don’t have the healthiest diet. Research shows that because Europeans slow down and take time enjoying their food, their body digests and absorbs the nutrients better than most American’s who are rushing to devour lunch (Gersdorff, 1). The stomach digests food better when the body is relaxed; Europeans eat with friends and have merry conversations creating a pleasant lunch and a happy stomach (Illiades, 1). The moral of the story is that you should do your best to multitask as little as possible during lunch break. Closing your eyes to enjoy food is perfectly acceptable. Take a lunch break with a friend!
Other studies show that what people eat affects their mood. Food provides valuable nutrients, which the body needs to survive and function. The vitamins help heal the body and numerous sundry things. Often people who suffer from depression need to add more selenium to their diet. Selenium is in seafood, nuts, seeds, lean meats, whole grains, and low fat dairy products. In many people, avoiding caffeine improves ones mood and can cause aggravation, and sleep deprivation. Try to eat foods high in vitamin D (found in milk and other things) because it increases serotonin in the brain. Serotonin is a chemical in the brain that regulates mood, function, and various other mechanisms. Another recommended vitamin is folate, which is in legumes, and various fruits. Omega 3 fatty acids are also important to the function of the body and brain, which are in fish (Magee, 1).
Overall, keep in mind that what, where, and how you eat affects the body, remember these tips next time you choose a meal.

The workers at Monde Apparels say that if they could earn just 36 cents an hour, they could climb out of misery and into poverty, where they could live with a little bit of decency. In the month of September, the children had just one day off, and before big shipments had to leave for the U.S. the workers were often kept at the factory 95 to 110 hours a week (law.harvard.edu). The child workers were beaten for falling behind in their production goal, making mistakes or taking too long in the bathroom. The factory guide lines state that the age to start work is eighteen years of age. Some looked much younger. A woman and her daughter who both work at Monde Apparels, earn around $50 a month each. The daughter was just 12 years old -- and one of many children working at the factory. The child gave the factory a fake birth certificate showing her age as 18, breaking the rules on child labor because her family needs the money (cbsnews.com). The factory does not care to investigate enough because they need the workers there.

Six months ago, 112 workers died when their factory burned down. Last month, another factory collapsed, killing more than 1,100 workers in one of the worst industrial accidents ever. There are several hundred workers on one floor of the factory, with the factory being 100,000 square feet, there were only two fire extinguishers. And if there were a fire, the workers would find an emergency exit door blocked by many boxes (cbsnews.com).
The children report being slapped and beaten, sometimes falling down from exhaustion, forced to work 12 to 14 hours a day, even some all-night, 19-to-20-hour shifts, seven days a week, for wages as low as 6 ½ cents an hour. The wages are so low that many of the child workers get up at 5:00 a.m. each morning to brush their teeth using just their finger and ashes from the fire, since they cannot afford a toothbrush or toothpaste (law.harvard.edu).

1) Type 1 Diabetes
The body does not produce insulin. Some people may refer to this type as insulin-dependent diabetes, juvenile diabetes, or early-onset diabetes (Diabetes). People usually develop type 1 diabetes before their 40th year, often in early adulthood or teenage years
Type 1 diabetes is nowhere near as common as type 2 diabetes.
Patients with type 1 diabetes will need to take insulin injections for the rest of their life. They must also ensure proper blood-glucose levels by carrying out regular blood tests and following a special diet. Between 2001 and 2009, the prevalence of type 1 diabetes among the under 20s in the USA rose 23% (Diabetes).

2) Type 2 Diabetes
The body does not produce enough insulin for proper function, or the cells in the body do not react to insulin (insulin resistance).
Some people may be able to control their type 2 diabetes symptoms by losing weight, following a healthy diet, doing plenty of exercise, and monitoring their blood glucose levels (Bentley). However, type 2 diabetes is typically a progressive disease - it gradually gets worse - and the patient will probably end up have to take insulin, usually in tablet form.

• Overweight and obese people have a much higher risk of developing type 2 diabetes compared to those with a healthy body weight. Being overweight/obese causes the body to release chemicals that can destabilize the body's cardiovascular and metabolic system (Youth Diabetes).
• Being overweight, physically inactive and eating the wrong foods all contribute to our risk of developing type 2 diabetes. The risk of developing type 2 diabetes is also greater as we get older. Experts are not completely sure why, but say that as we age we tend to put on weight and become less physically active.

Diabetes…will you have it?

Diabetes, often referred to by doctors as diabetes mellitus, describes a group of metabolic diseases in which the person has high blood glucose (blood sugar), either because insulin production is inadequate, or because the body's cells do not respond properly to insulin, or both (Diabetes). Patients with high blood sugar will typically experience polyuria (frequent urination), they will become increasingly thirsty (polydipsia) and hungry (polyphagia).

Fast facts on diabetes
• Diabetes is a long-term condition that causes high blood sugar levels.
• In 2013 it was estimated that over 382 million people
    throughout the world had diabetes
    (Williams Textbook of Endocrinology).
Type 1 Diabetes - the body does not produce insulin.
Approximately 10% of all diabetes cases are type 1
(Williams Textbook of endocrinology).
Type 2 Diabetes - the body does not produce enough
insulin for proper function. Approximately 90% of all cases
of diabetes worldwide are of this type (Williams textbook of endocrinology).
• Gestational Diabetes - this type affects females during pregnancy.
• The most common diabetes symptoms include frequent urination, intense thirst and hunger, weight gain, unusual weight loss, fatigue, cuts and bruises that do not heal, male sexual dysfunction, numbness and tingling in hands and feet.
• If you have Type 1 and follow a healthy eating plan, do adequate exercise, and take insulin, you can lead a normal life.
• Type 2 patients need to eat healthily, be physically active, and test their blood glucose. They may also need to take oral medication, and/or insulin to control blood glucose levels.
• As the risk of cardiovascular disease is much higher for a diabetic, it is crucial that blood pressure and cholesterol levels are monitored regularly.
• As smoking might have a serious effect on cardiovascular health, diabetics should stop smoking (Williams textbook of endocrinology).
• Hypoglycemia - low blood glucose - can have a bad effect on the patient. Hyperglycemia - when blood glucose is too high - can also have a bad effect on the patient.

Death By Chocolate
It was late October, the crimson autumn leaves were floating down across the cool cement as Sarah made her way home. Her husband, David, would be home any minute now and she was always there to greet him. They lived in a suburb of Richmond, Virginia. David was a successful lawyer at Einhorn Law Firm and Sarah was your average housewife. There was never a shortage of money, anything Sarah wanted she could buy. There was two things though that Sarah wanted more than anything, something that couldn’t be bought or sold, love and loyalty.
For the past six months, David acted on edge whenever he got home from work. He talked less and had a ton of paperwork to do. Sarah never asked what all of the extra work load was about, she just made sure supper was ready whenever it was most convenient for him. Often the dinner she made for him went uneaten. She didn’t want to listen to the warning signs that were flashing in her mind. He was her husband, he made a vow to love her and only her. That meant forever and always right?
The days dragged on. Sarah would make him breakfast, but David would be in too much of a rush to go to work. She’d remind him to give her a kiss goodbye and he would hesitantly lean in and give her a kiss on the cheek. What had happened to the days where he wanted to kiss? When she didn’t have to remind him? Deep down inside she knew what was going on. David was cheating on her.
A couple weeks ago it was easier to deny her suspicions but now there were just too many signs; wanting to get to work so quickly, having to bring home most of his paperwork, and the detached way he was acting. One day she even noticed the scent of perfume on his shirt. He knew she wasn’t stupid. Sarah had an Ivy League degree but ever since she married David she was expected to just be the housewife. She had tried so hard the two years of their marriage to be the perfect wife, she couldn’t step out of place now. She couldn’t just accuse him, a lawyer nonetheless, of being unfaithful. Why would he think she wouldn’t notice all of the signs? How had she failed him? Was it really her fault?
It was a Monday when it all fell apart. David had been away on a business trip all weekend and didn’t get home until 11pm. When he did finally get home, the overwhelming smell of liquor burned in Sarah’s nostrils. David never got drunk on a night before work. This would affect his entire career if he wasn’t sober by morning or if he had a hangover. Sarah couldn’t hold it in any longer.
“How was your trip?” she asked.
“My trip? Oh, yeah, it was good. Why do you ask?” David replied.
“I was just wondering since it went later than normal and it looks like you had quite the celebration.”
“Are you trying to say something?”
“No, of course not. I was just hoping you had a good time. Business trips can be pretty mundane.”
“Well, yes I did…until now. I haven’t even been home for 10 minutes and you have the audacity to interrogate me. I thought being my wife meant something to you.”
 “I wasn’t interrogating, I was just…”
Before Sarah could finish her sentence, David’s blow landed on her left cheek. Instantly, her eyes started to water. He had never hit her before. She was so ashamed of the tears and the confirmation of what she had suspected. The pain cut her like a thousand knives. How could he do this to her? Sarah went to bed without another word.
When David woke up in the morning, it was as if nothing had ever happened. Aside from the navy bruise on her cheek, Sarah acted normally. She made him breakfast and reminded him once more to kiss her goodbye. Her game of charades worked just long enough for him to walk out the door. Once he was gone, the tears came again. He had betrayed her in the most despicable way. She had to do something, she couldn’t just sit here and take it anymore. He had taken her life away from her these past few years.
Sarah tried to numb the pain with alcohol and cigarettes but today they were not strong enough. She grabbed his clothes and threw them down the stairs. Next came the mirror. It shattered on the ground into a million sparkling pieces. No matter how loud she screamed, no matter how many things she broke, nothing helped ease the storm inside of her. Eventually Sarah was left on the floor shaking from sobs that no longer had any sound.
Everyone has a little bit of crazy instilled in them. For Sarah, this crazy wasn’t unleashed until now. David’s favorite desert was Death by Chocolate Cake. Sarah would make it for him on special occasions and whenever he was stressed. Today, she would be making a very special one. Sarah put on her apron and set to her task. She made the cake as she normally would, but then slipped in a chemical that would be fatal if David took one bite. She thought about testing it more than once.
She drove her car to Einhorn Law and handed the cake to the secretary, Melissa. Little did she know that Melissa was the one David had been having the affair with. David opened the wrapped box and to his delight saw his favorite desert, Death by Chocolate. Eager to give it a try he called Melissa in to accompany him. The two ate only a few bites when the chemicals started to kick in. By the time anyone realized what had happened, Sarah had already disappeared off into the horizon.

  What Modesty is Not
Modesty is not insecurity. On the contrary, you have to be very secure to be a modest person in this immodest culture. •    Modesty is not bashfulness. The modest person freely chooses to keep certain things private. •    Modesty is not shame. Being ashamed of one’s physical characteristic is a psychological problem and has nothing to do with modesty. •    Modesty is not symptomatic of sexual hang-ups. To be modest is not to oppose sexual expression but the vice of lasciviousness (Vaughan and Vaughan 8)
What Modesty Is
Modesty is having the propriety to cover your physical self and your actions. Modesty is an attitude of the heart. If your heart is lustful or self-focused, the way you behave and dress will display that. Modesty is often associated with women but it includes men as well. We will, however, be focusing on women mostly. In 1 Timothy 2:9-10 it says, “I also want women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God.” This is not saying, “Put a sack on your head and slave at everyone’s feet.” It is saying, “Wear clothing and an air that would please God.” Is a low shirt that shows a lot of chest or a skirt that shows your thighs pleasing you God? Well, why are we wearing it? If we’re wearing it to get attention, we will. Is that the kind of attention we want? Do we want every man that we pass to look at our skin? What about the guys who really try to guard what they see? Do we want to make them to stumble or be too uncomfortable to look at us? That is why God says to clothe ourselves with good deeds. If we focus on what is pleasing to God we will start wanting to cover ourselves decently.

   Modesty
“Modesty. What is that?” The question being asked by our youth in this modern age. Is modesty an old fashioned idea of the past? Should we be trying to set this “out dated” ideal aside? People hear the word modesty and they balk, but do they fully understand what it means? Many people think it means you are shy or unsure of yourself. This is not what modesty is. That describes insecurity not modesty. Those of us who don’t openly oppose modesty, stick our heads in the sand and say, “it’s not that important and nobody cares about it anyway.” When faced with so much opposition and conflicting ideas it is easier to set the subject aside and figure it out “later”. Also known as “never”. Modesty is important, however. So important that we need to take our heads out of the sand and figure it out now.

Hunting is Beneficial

Hunting is Beneficial
Hunting is a great source of revenue for each state and for different businesses. Hunting also has relaxation and environmental benefits. Hunting is not cheap, especially deer hunting. For deer hunting, no matter what deer season, hunters need a weapon, camo or blaze orange, a license, land, a place to stay, a deer stand, and some hunters use decals, or deer calls to help lure the deer in. There are certain requirements for clothing and choice of weapon depending on which deer season- archery, firearm, and muzzleloader- hunters choose to hunt.
Deer hunting is a great way to relax, and spend time with family and friends. It allows a person to enjoy peaceful time outdoors, and not have to worry about stressful daily chores. “It [hunting] offers relaxation and affords quality time with family and friends. Whether in a deer or duck blind, farm field or ridgeline, hunting provides a peaceful, fun setting where people re-connect with each other and with nature” (Economic Source of Hunting in America). Sitting in a deer stand allows a hunter to watch the wildlife, and enjoy nature.
In 2011, Minnesota generated approximately $725 million from hunting (Ashe). Hunting is a great source of revenue for Minnesota and businesses throughout the state. “They [hunters] not only purchase hunting gear, trucks and boats; they also fill their gas tanks and coolers. They stay at motels and resorts. They buy hunting clothes ... On average, each hunter spends $1,896 per year on hunting, which is 5.5% of the typical wage earner’s annual income” (Economic Source of Hunting in America). The deer hunting seasons in Minnesota are bow, rifle/shotgun, and muzzleloader. Deer hunters that hunt more than one deer season have to purchase a license for every season. There are consequences for not having a license corresponding to the season a person is hunting. During archery season, hunters usually wear camo to blend in with their surroundings, so deer are not as likely to see them. During shotgun/rifle and muzzleloader seasons, hunters have to wear blaze orange because it is a law in Minnesota. If a hunter chooses to archery hunt, and then hunt another season, they are likely to buy both camo and blaze orange clothing (Economic Source of Hunting in America).

Hunting is also good for small towns because hunting takes place in rural areas where there is woods or big grassy planes. Small towns do not usually have too many tourists throughout the year, so hunting helps to bring business to these small towns. Hunters are likely to stop in a small town and buy something, like groceries, clothing, or a hunting license. Stores in small towns stock up on food, beverages, and clothing during the hunting season to prepare for the flood of hunters (Economic Importance of Hunting in America).
A source of food for deer is vegetation in the woods. When deer populations are high or above normal, they eat the vegetation down to the roots, so it is not able to grow back. “At high population densities deer can greatly alter the appearance and ecology of forest vegetation” (Rawinski). In one case, a fence was constructed, so deer could not get in to eat the vegetation. There was way more vegetation in the fence than the area surrounding the fence. This shows that deer are one cause of vegetation being destroyed. Deer hunting allows the deer population to decrease, and not have one area overpopulated by deer.

Unfortunately, deer do not eat invasive vegetation. This allows to the invasive vegetation to flourish, while native vegetation diminishes. “Tree species especially palatable to deer, such as economically valuable oaks, are not regenerating while other species resistant to deer browse, like beech, flourish” (Schulser). The problem can be solved by putting up fences, so deer cannot get in and eat the vegetation. Also, keep the deer population low, so that deer do not destroy too much vegetation.
Not only do deer ruin vegetation in the woods, but they also affect the bird population and other species who rely on vegetation for survival. Some wildlife may eat vegetation like deer, or use vegetation for shelter. “Beyond the impact on specific trees or other plants, deer can significantly influence wildlife habitat by altering the forest’s composition and structure. For example, in a forest where the understory has been largely eaten by deer, habitat for birds requiring a thick understory will decline” (Schulser). Keeping the deer population low will help to prevent the vegetation from being destroyed even more than it already is which will help increase the bird population.

If someone needs a way to relax, try deer hunting! Every year a hunter has to buy a hunting license, food, and anything else they want for hunting that year, which helps the Minnesota economy and businesses throughout the state. Deer hunting helps the environment by keeping the number of deer consuming vegetation low, which will help prevent the vegetation from being destroyed more than it already is. Thick vegetation helps increase the bird population. The next time you or someone you know goes deer hunting, remember, they’re helping to keep the deer population contained, which will help prevent environmental problems from occurring. Deer hunting will also help keep the economy flowing.
