Why is it cool to be stupid - and to show it?
Why are my students proud when they are stupid? One student got back a test result today and he got the score 8/16. He laughed and said proudly. "Well, I hadn't studied at all".
I'm sure he doesn't think he is stupid. I don't think he wants me, his new teacher, to think that either.
So when is this going to change? Or do we have to get used to a society of imbecile people? Why doesn't anyone want to be the smart guy?
