DIVAS! How have you been? It's been a while and you were missed...*hugs*
Fresh off the block, we want to recap a major highlight so far in exceptional 2015...
Recap: Hey Sistah, Soul Sistah.
What a blessing we had that day eeh? We learned so much about ourselves and each other. We met and heard from some great presenters AND we got our own DIVAS "theme poem"! (I'm not actually sure if that is a word but we can all agree it is now.)
Seriously though Ladies, in this session, we understand that we are wonderfully and fearfully made in God’s image however we are very unique. We are one of a kind. One of the things that differentiates us is the difference in our personalities.
The knowledge of these differences in personalities opened our eyes to better understanding ourselves and each other. Listed below are the four personality types that we identified. They were colour coded and during the meeting in January, as we identified our personality type we wore t-shirt jewellery the colour of our personalities. At the end of the evening, the room was filled with an array of colours - Reds, Light Blues, Greens and Purples!

Our theme poem was written especially for our Hey Sistah, Soul Sistah DIVAS meeting. Please enjoy.
Looking

I look at you, you look at me
I form impressions of who I think I see
And perhaps you do the same of me.
But knowing me….. Do I really know you?
Do I look beyond the mask you wear and see you, the real you?

Behind those masks, lives our past
Scenes etched upon the canvas of our minds
Memories of time….
People, faces, places
Good times, bad times, sad times.
Inside, we wrestle as waves of emotion batter our souls…..
Struggles of our present, burdens of our past….

But looking at me, you’d never know
Because I wear my mask.
Afraid to expose the nakedness of my soul…
Full of holes….

Then my head is raised above the waves…
And a wounded soul I see with holes…
…In His side, His hands, His feet…
Hanging on a tree
Hurting beyond any emotion I could ever feel…
And all this, just for me

Those wounded hands took hold of me
Lifted me, carried me, held me close
Loved the broken me….
He cleansed me, redeemed me, restored my soul
Set me completely free…

Now He speaks peace, and the storms within me cease…
My soul now knows its rest…
His joy stays deep within my breast….
Even when trials still come to test…

Now when I look at you, I see your soul
And because of His compassion and love
His grace I will not withhold….
I’ll share your burden; help you carry your load…
I’ll hold your hand, until you are able to stand

My sister, soul sister, please don’t feel ashamed
Because most of our struggles are very much the same.

So DIVAS & SISTAHS, it's been a pleasure. Remember who and whose you are. We are daughters of The King! Actual Princesses...don't let anyone or anything steal, kill or destroy anymore what God has given you and wants to give you.
His Word says in John 10:10 that "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." (KJV)
Ladies, you get it? Is time for abundant living in Christ...it is ours...let's do this thing through Christ who strengthens us.
Embrace the you that was fearfully and wonderfully made by GOD HIMSELF! He knows what He's doing. Rest in His arms and trust Him to get you where, when, how He wants you.
Nuff love and we wi talk lata!

CHRISTmas DIVA

Lots of debate out there about what Christmas is, the reasons for it, what makes it good and on & on. We celebrate Christmas in December to honour and give thanks for the fact that our Saviour Jesus Christ chose to come to Earth in human form. He honoured His Father and obeyed Him even unto death so that we could become a part of His family if we believed Him for His salvation.
So while we recover from the nice dinners, social events, gifts, sorrel, food and other Christmas and related activities, let us remember that "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning" as James 1:17 says.
As Christ's DIVAS, we are His representatives to those around us. May His Holy Spirit enable us to do well for our King as we stay DIVA'd up in CHRIST and be a CHRISTmas DIVA all year long.
