If you are in Paris this month visit the exhibit “Date with the Night.” The show at Galerie Sultana runs from May 7^th through June 4^th 2011. The crude works glow in this installation by black light.

The works were stirred up by the artist’s fascination with pulp culture, B-movies, and DIY rock as a viable alternative universe to the glumness of the world around us. In the new drawings and sculptures, she weaves a new fantasy scenario that treats the rock band’s touring van as a vehicle for space travel.
