Kerala Ayurveda Academy Community News
June 2013
Just like any Move, it looked a bit un-organized at first before it started taking shape.

We are Excited to announce our move to a new Location in Fremont California.  Our new locaiton is larger and allows us to teach Ayurveda with a more authentic Ayurveda learning experience.
We think of it as more than just a move, it is the creation of "Kerala Ayurveda Academy and Wellness Center, A Center for Inspiration!"

This is very exciting news because it will enable Kerala Academy to grow closer to it's goal of having a world premiere Ayurvedic Academy and Wellness Center that is easy to travel to and offers Authentic Ayurvedic teachings and Treatments.

Because of the full kitchen and large class room size we will be able to conduct full workshops on a wide range of Ayurvedic topics.  Eventually Kerala Academy's plan is to stream live from this locaiton.

"This is a very exciting step in bringing Ayurveda to the United States and the world and also educating people about it globally" Dr. Jayarajan, Academy Director stated, "We need to form these types of wellness centers so that our students will understand the clinical aspects of Ayurveda and also so that regular people who have not been exposed to Ayurveda can experience the healing powers that we all have within us".
Kerala Academy Foster City has Moved!
Kerala Academy is excited to announce their association with Dr. David Frawley (Vamadeva Sastri).

Dr. Frawley has written more than 30 books on topics relating to Ayurveda, Yoga and the Vedas.  His books have been published in the United States and In India. He is also a frequent contributor to the magazine "Hinduism Today".  Dr. Frawley is a Vedic teacher, Ayurvedic Doctor and a Vedic Astrologer (Joytishi).

"Kerala Ayurveda has managed to keep Ayurveda authentic and has goals to spread Ayurveda worldwide.  Kerala Ayurveda offers advanced clinical and class room training, teaching Ayurveda at deeper levels, these trainings supplement what we do here at AIVS in a very important way" Dr. Frawley stated.

We believe here at Kerala Academy that Dr. Frawley will be a great asset to the students, alumni and faculty as a whole.  His work at the academy will be relative to the curriculum and course development as well as teaching for special training programs.

Dr. Frawley mentioned, "It is my hope that people who have worked with me and people who have studied with me will look into all that Kerala Ayurveda Academy has to offer.  It's benefits, many teaching and products, it's wonderful staff, brilliant teachers and great doctors who all work to make Kerala Ayurveda Academy a wonderful learning facility".

Seattle Kerala Academy Has a New Home!

Kerala Academy really seems to be on the move lately.  Kerala Academy Seattle has moved from it's Stone way location and has made a few changes.

Because Kerala, Seattle is focusing on the Academy, we have phased out our clinical space in Seattle in order to bring to all of you a beautiful new classroom space.
The Academy is now located in a newer building that also allows our faculty teaching from out of town to stay on site, much better than a hotel!
The classroom down stairs has a "radiant" floor (heated) and a beautiful bamboo floor upstairs for Yoga.
Jessica is doing all of the shipping of orders from there right now so make sure and drop her a line with your orders [email protected] call: 1-206-729-9999
Our new location is a perfect place to showcase Kerala Academy and all that it has to offer it's students.  The feeling is warm and inviting when you walk in the door so if you are in the Seattle area and want to stop by, you can locate us at 8234-A 17th Ave NE Seattle, WA 98115

Kerala Academy Expands to the East
Student Focus:
Girija moved from the East Coast to be closer to family. When she moved to Seattle people that she had studied with recommended Kerala Ayurveda Academy and it has turned out to be the perfect place for her to study.
Because of the online option she has the freedom to go about her schedule and put learning where it works for her.
The authentic teaching from knowlegeable doctors, many of them from India was easy to understand and "the student body that I studied with brings it all together".
Girija was excited for her internship to India and felt that she learned so much.
She used to read about Ayurveda in books and now she feels that she really gets to experience it in her life. "I feel confident and ready to go out to the world with Ayurveda".

January 2013 Internship started on the 14th.  Kerala Academy had 5 Interns in attendance.
The weather held out for the entire 21 days. Aluva was much hotter than Bangalore where a light sweater was called for in the mornings.
Keep an open mind and soak in the beauty of the people and the land.
