Independent Artist Showcase

Friday June 17th, I was at the French Quarters, Lissa BigRed Lee had put an event together for independent artist in the tri-state area. The turn out was good and the artist were amazing, everyone that was there were very supportive of each other. Out of all the rising crime and deaths that has been occuring for the last year, this was a refreshing enviroment. There was complete support and love at this event, and most when asked "who is your target audience?" they replied that it was for the people going through hard times and basically music was their outlet. I got the chance to interview some the artist and Bigred and they were more than willing to help me get my first interviews. Check out their interviews and some of the show. ( If there are any problems with video please let me know....)

Fashion Era

Since Rick Ross and lil Wayne came out with some song that deals with John Lennon everyone has been on the John Lennon train. So let's go back an take a look at the style and generation of the late 1960's/ early 1970's, when John Lennon was around , one of my favorite era's.....

The late 1960's fashion mostly consisted of bell bottom jeans, paisely prints, tie dyes, big hats, head bands, sandals, false eye lashes, & batik fabrics. By 1968 the hippie look was the main look in fashion, some women would even go barefoot, bra less and also transparent shirts became popular. I love their fashion it's was very care free and bright. Some of their fashion since then has re-surfaced the head bands, false eyelashes, big hats, peasant shirts and skinny jeans have all been seen recently. Give me some feedback and let me know which era should I write about next.

Rent a prom date!!!!

This prom year has already flown by and I hope all the graduates of 2011 have had a great year. I came by a site that I thought was very intresting and may benefit the 2012 graduates, those who know or may expect to not have a date are in luck. There's a website called promdatedepot.com, the website consits of people that need dates and people that are willing to be the date. There are profiles so you can chose your ideal date, you can chose the sex and the age that you want. This was just baffling to me at first, like really you can rent a prom date. I guess tradition has gone out the door, but I can see people using it that have a hard time talking to the opposite sex or even the same sex. Tell me what you think and send me some messages if you have other websites that you have came across that is intresting. Thanx much <3

Artist of the week

Every month I want to interview a differnt artist and put their info and their music up. So there's always an oppurtunity to get in touch with that person and collabarate, or get in touch with them for your shows. I'll be trying to advertise this online magazine as much as I can so hopefully it gets alittle bit of notice and you never know maybe you get noticed from here. Or the other way around, lol....keep paper cut dreams magazine in mind. Our first artist this month is a guy I met at the independent artist showcase, his name is Chris Skillz. His music is amazing, I love the beats and his voice is perfect. His music is up north type of music compared to down south music, my friends that have listened to his songs love his sound. Bow Wow is a father!!

I don't know if anyone else knew this, but I know I didn't. People have speculated that he may be a father, but when asked he always denied it and called it rumors. He finally decided to tell everyone and posted it on his page bow wow today, he wrote " I waited so long to tell y'all the truth because I was nervous on how y'all would look at me" I don't understand where he may have been worried at the fact he is no longer lil bow wow but now bow wow I guess. Either or he is a great lier and good at keeping secerts, lol....Congrats to him though, now I want to see what his baby looks like.

All make up below is done by Briana Hazelet, hair styles also done by her. She loves doing make up and hair, and I think she kills it....she has gone to school for her profession so she is certified.
